Possibility of exceeding the age limits of the groups: in a group of up to 7 people one (1) person may exceed the age limit of his category. Accordingly, in a group of 8 to 10 people two (2) people, in a group of 11 to 13 people three (3) people, in a group of 14 to 16 people four (4) people, in a group of 17 people and above five (5) people. Younger athletes can also compete in older age categories.

GROUP CATEGORIES:<\/h5>\r\n
Number of participants: at least 4 participants. Duration \u2013 there will be a tolerance regarding their maximum duration, of the order of 10 seconds, after which the music will be interrupted.
\u2022DEBUT Teams - Debut teams are considered to be those in which 80% of their members dance for the first time in dance competitions within the year of the competition (e.g. for the year 2026, 8 out of 10 athletes must not have danced in competitions before 1\/1\/2026), and participate in the competition in free choreography - a mix of Latin dances.
\u2022SHOW Teams - Teams can participate in the competition in free choreography \u2013 a mix of Latin dances with a theme that must be visible in dress, choreography and music. Stage, accessories and acrobatic movements are allowed.
\u2022SYNCHRO Teams - Teams must maintain the original team formation, remaining synchronized in their figures and movements at the same time and direction throughout the presentation (change of formations is permitted during the last 15-20 seconds for the finale of the choreography). Dancers dance with all participants \u201cIN THE HEATS\u201d. The music for the Solo Latin\/Standard categories is selected by the organizers of \u201cKAVALA OPEN\u201d. Dancers can also compete in the next age category.
In Solo categories, props and accessories are not allowed. Latin Solo competitors will dance ONE DANCE (Ch, Sb, Rb, Jv, Pd) and in Standard Solo ONE DANCE (W, T, Vw, F, Qs). Dancers from the pair categories may also participate in the Solo categories.<\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The presentation must be thematic and distinguished in choreography, costume and music. A couple cannot participate in both 1 or 3 or 5 Dances of their respective category, and by extension, a couple participating in the Three Dance or five Dance of their category cannot participate in a category with fewer dances (One Dance).
