Regulations

DURATION:
Solos, Duos, Trios 1.00 – 2.00 min.
Teams 2.00 – 3,00 min (in groups of more than 20 athletes up to 4.00 minutes)
*** These time limits apply to all categories performed with music by the contestant or contestants.

PARTICIPANTS:
Possibility of exceeding the age limits of the groups: in a group of up to 7 people one (1) person may exceed the age limit of his category. Accordingly, in a group of 8 to 10 people two (2) people, in a group of 11 to 13 people three (3) people, in a group of 14 to 16 people four (4) people, in a group of 17 people and above five (5) people. Younger athletes can also compete in older age categories.
* Athletes in the Juvenile, Junior and Youth categories must have with them any proof of their age.

GROUP CATEGORIES:
Number of participants: at least 4 participants. Duration – there will be a tolerance regarding their maximum duration, of the order of 10 seconds, after which the music will be interrupted.
•HIP HOP – includes Hip Hop, Electric Boogie and Techno techniques. Choreographies presented can be made using the mentioned techniques either in a pure version or as a mix of them. Example: Choreographies of Hip hop technique and choreographies of Hip hop and Techno technique mix will be judged with the same data. All choreographies must have a theme or idea that must be understandable during its performance. It is very important to present the harmony of the idea, music, dance, choreography, costumes and scenes. Musicality, variety of dance patterns, originality, along with a good and well-formed choreography (ORIGINAL) will be highly appreciated. Acrobatics, scenery, lifts and accessories are allowed.
•K-POP OPEN – is a powerful, fast-paced dance style similar to hip-hop that originated in South Korea. Perform your favorite moves and new choreographies with boundless energy, mood, and style.
•K-POP COVER – is the copying of choreography, especially from Japanese or Korean music idols that were featured in videos or concerts of famous K-pop bands. At the same time, the plasticity, technique and choreography should be as close as possible to the original version.
•COMMERCIAL – style refers to the most popular and current type of dance which is adapted for live or recorded performances such as television shows, concerts, music videos, films and advertisements. What makes commercial special and distinctive is that it combines many types of dance (street dance, hip-hop, jazz) while having influences from mainstream and pop music and the dance scene.
•DANCEHALL – Dancehall is a street dance style that emerged in the late 1970s and mid-1980s on the streets of Kingston, Jamaica. It is not just a Jamaican dance, it is their culture and lifestyle. Its creator is Bogle, thanks to whom Dancehall became known throughout the world.
•HIGH HEELS – it is called the style and not so much the dance as it allows a woman to express herself and highlight her femininity. It is inspired by the dances: Hip Hop, Funky Jazz, Lyrical, Latin without there being a specific step-by-step routine. The choreography needs imagination, personal experiences, emotions and above all style.

SOLO CATEGORIES
•Solo OPEN - Dancers dance with all participants “IN THE HEATS”. The music for the Solo categories is selected by the organizers of “KAVALA OPEN”. Dancers can also compete in the next age category.

DUOS, TRIOS CATEGORIES
These are competition categories and participants dance individually “ON THE STAGE” using their own music and the duration is up to 2:00 minutes. The presentation must be thematic and distinguished in choreography, costume and music. Athletes will have 15′ seconds for the entrance and 15′ seconds for the exit.

•After the end of the first round, six (6) teams – contestants are selected for the final.
