DURATION:
Solos, Duos, Trios 1.00 – 2.00 min.

PARTICIPANTS:
Possibility of exceeding the age limits of the groups: in a group of up to 7 people one (1) person may exceed the age limit of his category. Accordingly, in a group of 8 to 10 people two (2) people, in a group of 11 to 13 people three (3) people, in a group of 14 to 16 people four (4) people, in a group of 17 people and above five (5) people. Younger athletes can also compete in older age categories.

GROUP CATEGORIES:
Number of participants: at least 4 participants. Duration – there will be a tolerance regarding their maximum duration, of the order of 10 seconds, after which the music will be interrupted.
•ORIENTAL - choreography that can incorporate any dance form, classical style Raqs Sharqi, Arabic folk dance, etc. However, the original music and technique dominate. The use of oriental steps and appropriate accessories (two veils, Isis wings, sabre (dummy only), vases, etc.) and any type of costume is allowed. Various dances, styles and fusions of fantasy styles such as oriental flamenco and others are welcome. There must be plot development (introduction, climax, finale).
•BOLLYWOOD - has its roots in traditional Indian dance, consists of many different dance forms, such as Indian classical, Bhangra, Arabic, folk, tribal, Latin, hip hop, street dance, Michael Jackson and many more. A contrast of dance forms and movement, depending on the music.
•FOLK DANCE - is a dance performance developed over a period of time that reflects the traditional life of the people of a particular country or region. Acrobatics are permitted. Lifts are permitted, enhancing the dancers' score only if the acrobatic moves or lifts are well integrated into the performance with style and finesse.
•ETHNO – is a type of dance and includes the techniques of nations – Irish, Hungarian, Russian, Polish, Spanish, Flamenco, Indian, Eastern Folklore, Greek, Bulgarian folklore, etc. Costumes, music and choreography must correspond to the character of the nation. It is not allowed to dance belly dance in the Ethno style. Changing clothes or removing items from the costume is allowed. Props are allowed if they can be put on stage or on the dance floor in less than 20 seconds. It must be possible to fold all stage props and backgrounds so that they can easily pass through a standard-sized door frame.

SOLO CATEGORIES:
•Solo OPEN - Dancers dance with all participants “IN THE HEATS”. The music for the Solo categories is selected by the organizers of “KAVALA OPEN”. Dancers can also compete in the next age category.
•Solo SHOW - Dancers dance individually “ON THE STAGE”, they will use their own music and the duration is up to 2:00 minutes. Athletes will have 15′ seconds for the entrance and 15′ seconds for the exit. Wings and the cane as accessories are allowed

Participants dance individually “ON THE STAGE”, they will use their own music and the duration is from 1:30 to 2:00 minutes. Athletes will have 15′ seconds for the entrance and 15′ seconds for the exit. The presentation must be thematic and distinguished in the choreography, costume and music. Veil, wings, cane, hat and swords are allowed.
